Ida Demmellash
SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Ida Demmellash is a Contracting/Procurement Specialist with AMRA Consulting, LLC (AMRA) and she currently supports the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), Contracts Management Office (CMO) as a Contract Specialist. Ms. Demmellash is dedicated to continuously building experience in procurement and acquisition strategy, contract negotiation, cost/price analysis and risk assessment.
Prior to her employment at AMRA, Ms. Demmellash worked as an international development professional and served as a Program Officer at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Ethiopia Program. At GGGI, Ms. Demmellash specialized in engagement with strategic development partners on efforts that targeted economic growth, environmental sustainability and social inclusion as well as program development, monitoring and reporting. Ms. Demmellash also served as a Programs coordinator at the Economic Policy Analysis Unit (EPAU), Ethiopian Development Research Institute (EDRI), where she specialized in program and project planning and managing communication and reporting structures. Ms. Demmellash began her career in contracting and procurement in her current role at DARPA, where she is accruing a wide range of experience in supporting the federal workforce with the development, analysis, negotiation and administration of complex R&D contracts, cooperative agreements, grants and other transaction agreements.
Ms. Demmellash holds an MA in Globalization and Multinational Corporations from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), Center for International Studies and Diplomacy (CISD), University of London and a BA in Political Science from Vassar College.
